Hailing from New Mills , New Brunswick Lisa Richard began demonstrating her vocal talents at the bright young age of four. She immediately entered the music business by belting out "Ballroom Blitz" for family and friends, charging a quarter per performance. By the time she found herself in university, she began a two-year stint singing harmonies and backup with local band Frank Perry’s Slice in Toronto at such notable venues as the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, and the Opera House. Eventually Lisa returned back east to settle in Halifax. It was not long before she was inspired by Theresa Melenfant and her powerhouse pipes. After hearing Theresa's performance she was on a mission. She formed her own cover band with a troupe of talented musicians and for over 5 years, played around the Maritimes. She has since created amazing opportunities to perform in Nashville at several venues including Tootsies and the George Jones museum. She has been interviewed by radio stations that currently play her music in Canada, U.S., New Zealand, and the U.K. She has also been interviewed by National Country review Magazine based out of Nashville and is a top 10 regional finalist for the CBC Searchlight contest 2015. She has had the opportunity to sing alongside Hal Bruce, Shirley Jackson, Carson Downey, and Matt Minglewood to name a few. Lisa is a talented singer, treating fans to amazing, powerful vocals.
